Pine Crest

Our clients wanted us to design and build a cozy, very traditional, craftsman-style home for them in the Woodland Hills community. From the moment of arrival, you feel the warmth of this home’s personality. Steep roof lines and bold, vintage-themed, exposed truss details combine with warm rose-toned stucco, hearty stone and attractive wood-panelled exterior doors.

Designed with main floor living, this spacious open concept greatroom plan was perfect for their lifestyle. A seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living was important to them and this was achieved by incorporating large expanses of glass. Warm-toned, wide plank hardwood flooring flows throughout great room.

The kitchen is truly the hub of this home. There is plenty of well-designed cabinets and counterspace, situated effectively to accommodate multiple work stations. In particular they love the bar serving station which allows one to serve drinks while the other is doing final food prep. The gorgeous cream-coloured cabinets reach to the ceiling and are accented by clever glass-paned display doors. The hood fan’s classic-design contrasts beautifully with the contemporary glass-listel backsplash. The island has a raised breakfast bar, which is great for quick meals or a casual coffee, but also has the added benefit of hiding the mess.

The master-on-main bedroom feels spacious, yet comfortable and inviting. The spa-like ensuite was designed to be elegant, yet efficient. There are dual sinks in a gorgeous marble-topped countertop and the cabinetry has plenty of thoughtful storage. An attractive curved tub and frameless glass shower complete this outstanding space.
